The ultimate experience at Seppeltsfield is the unique opportunity to taste a 100 Year Old Tawny straight from the barrel. Join one of the Seppeltsfield team for a short tour to learn the story behind the collection, and visit their iconic Centennial Cellar for a once in a lifetime tasting.

1   off to the Barossa Valley

Driving down Seppeltsfield Rd in the Barossa Valley

Your host will meet you at your city accommodation around 08:45am where your journey will begin. All of our local guides are trained wine experts who will help you unlock the secrets of the Barossa Valley and better understand all things wine. Your journey will take you North through the agricultural belt, home to the farmers who supply Adelaide’s buzzing restaurant scene.

2   Yalumba Cooperage Tour

Yalumba is the only winery in the Southern Hemisphere to have an operational, on-site winery cooperage. During your behind-the-scenes tour of the cooperage, you will receive an in-depth explanation of how a barrel is crafted from scratch while witnessing a master at his craft..

Back in the Yalumba Wine Room you will enjoy a tasting flight of wines aged in Yalumba coopered barrels. Whilst you enjoy these wines you will also receive an introduction to Yalumba’s rich family history.

4   Seppeltsfield A Taste Of History

A Taste of History Tour at Seppeltsfield Barossa

The Seppeltsfield Centennial Collection is world’s only unbroken lineage of single vintage Tawny dating back to 1878. Learn the history of the brand on a quick tour before the rare opportunity to visit the historic Centennial Cellar. It’s in the cellar where you will taste a 100 Year Old  Para Vintage Tawny drawn directly from the barrel. A truly once in a lifetime experience.

4   Lunch at FINO Seppeltsfield

From the original 1900’s bottling hall, the dining area at FINO sprawls out into the palm-fringed gardens of picturesque Seppeltsfield estate. Using top quality sustainable produce sourced from local farmers, you’ll enjoy a multi-course meal with local wines. Relax and find out what makes this one of Australia’s most lauded restaurants (all dietaries catered for).

5   St Hugo Wines

Tasting wine on your Barossa tour at St Hugo

Your specially curated tasting experience at St Hugo will take you through a selection of their finest and most highly-prized wines. Enjoyed from their exquisite wine lounge, these are the wines that define the ‘power and elegance’ that is St Hugo.

After your full day private wine tasting tour, we’ll have you safely back in Adelaide for around 5:00pm.
