Sourced mainly from the hotter, leaner terroir of the Barossa Valley’s western ridge, these wines tend to show greater power and intensity than those grown further up the hill.

Your host will meet you at your city accommodation around 08:00am (or Barossa at 09:00am) where your journey will begin. All of our local guides are trained wine experts who will help you unlock the secrets of the Barossa Valley and better understand all things wine.

Now aging over 150 years of age and still in the custodianship of the original founding family. this is one of the oldest surviving vineyards in the world today, continuing to produce wines of outstanding quality each year. With quite a suite of wines produced from their biodynamic estate properties, you’ll be personally guided through a range of the Henschke family’s flagship wines. From the original 1900’s bottling hall, the dining area at FINO sprawls out into the palm-fringed gardens of picturesque Sepeltsfield estate. Using top quality sustainable produce sourced from local farmers, you’ll enjoy a multi-course meal with local wines. Next, you’ll enjoy the rare opportunity to explore Torbreck’s barrel hall. Here you’ll learn about their philosophy, and how their processes and winemaking choices craft these unique wines.

Seated in your own private area with a dedicated host, it’s time to try Torbreck’s collector range of wines, including rare wines available only at the tasting room. Coming from the Barossa’s hotter Western Rigde, Torbreck’s more structural wines provide a great counterpoint to the cooler climate wines found at Henschke.

After your complete day tasting some of Australia’s most rare and hallowed wines, we’ll have you safely back at your Adelaide accommodation by around 5:30pm.
