Start the day with a 4WD journey to the site of Two Hands Holy Grail Vineyard. Here you’ll taste this prized single-vineyard Shiraz from within the vineayrd it was grown. Back in the tasting room, you’ll be guided through a range of single-vineyard Shiraz from distinctly different regions within the Barossa. Two Hands staff will explain the differences and help you to understand what makes them what they are.

At Elderton Wines you’ll hear the story and taste the wine of the Command vineyard. Over 100 years old and in the heart of the Barossa, the Command Shiraz has been awarded the Barossa Trust Mark and consistently rates amongst the best wines in the world.

With a great multi-course lunch at FINO Seppeltsfield to break up the day, this is a premium Barossa Shiraz wine tour without equal!

1   off to the Barossa Valley

Driving down Seppeltsfield Rd in the Barossa Valley

Your host will meet you at your city accommodation arpuind 09:15am where your journey will begin. All of our local guides are trained wine experts who will help you unlock the secrets of the Barossa Valley and better understand all things wine.
Your journey will take you North through the agricultiral belt, home to the farmers who supply Adelaide’s buzzing restaurant scene.

 

2   4WD through the vineyards

Tour through stunning and excusive Barossa scenery to the Holy Grail Vineyard

After a quick biosecurity briefing by Two Hands staff, jump into their 4WDs to make your way to the Holy Grail Vineyard. Your guides will take you down the rows of the vines, explaining the unique site layout, soil testing, and trelissing systems that have gone into crafting this premium Barossa Shiraz site.

 

3   Drinking Holy Grail in the vineyard

Sourcing fruit from vineyards across the Barossa, Two Hands make a suite of premium single-vineyard Shiraz wines. After you’ve made your way back to the tasting room, Two Hands staff will guide you through a masterclass of these small-batch premium Barossa Shiraz wines. With multiple sites across the Barossa, you’ll taste for yourself the difference a few hundred metres in location can make!

5   Lunch @ FINO

Hearty Barossa dining at FINO Seppeltsfield

From the original 1900’s bottling hall, the dining area at FINO sprawls out into the palm-fringed gardens of picturesque Sepeltsfield estate. Using top quality sustainable produce sourced from local farmers, you’ll enjoy a multi-course meal with local wines. Relax and find out what makes this one of Australia’s most lauded restaurants (all dietaries catered for).

 

6   ELDERTON Elite Experience

“If you buy the house, I will give you the surrounding 72 acres of old vines for nothing”. From derelict vines to two of the most prized wines in the world, hear the family story of triumph and taste their flagship wines in the restored Ashmead family homestead. Smack bang in the middle of prime Barossa Shiraz country, these 120+ year old vines produce some of the most opulent wines in the region.

After your full day of big Barossa Shiraz, we’ll have you safely back in Adelaide for around 5:30pm.
