BAROSSA GIN TOUR ITINERARY
1 off to the barossa
Your host will meet you at your city accommodation where your journey will begin.
Your journey will take you North through the agricultiral belt, home to the farmers who supply Adelaide’s buzzing restaurant scene.
2 Barossa Gin School
Meet your Gin Schoool teacher for the day and curator of the botanical cornucopia – Brett. He’ll guide you through the gin making process, introduce you to the botanicals, and help you on your way to creating our own signature gin.
You’ll team up with your tour partner to create your botanical blend before setting up your still. You’ll get it running before sitting down to lunch.
3 Lunch at The Farm Eatery
While your gin is bubbling away, sit down to a leisurely long-lunch with drinks by the expert team at The Farm Eatery. Sourcing fresh local seasonal produce, their ever-changing menu is about as Barossan as it gets.
If you like, you’ll also have time to explore Maggie Beers Farm Shop which is also onsite.
4 Botttle Your Signature Gin
After lunch your signature gin will be ready for collection and labelling. Put the finishing touches on your new creation which you’ll get to take home with you and share with your friends (or keep to yourself!). One bottle of gin per couple.
5 Gin Tasting at Barossa Distilling Co
Now that you’ve graduated Gin School, it’s time to relax! Head to Barossa Distilling Co to try a flight of their award winning gin range. If you’d prefer, Penfold’s is also onsite, so you can head there to try their range of wines if you’d prefer.
6 More Gin at Seppeltsfield Rd Distillers
Relaxing on the sun deck or taking inthe views from the air-conditioned comfort, we can’t think of a better way to end a day of gin tasting than at Seppeltsfield Rd Distillers. Taste their range of boutique gins as you hang out with the Barossa locals at this popular late arvo hang-out.
When you’re all done, we’re back off to Adelaide to arrive at about 5pm.
Our tour was very personalised and we went to wineries that we never would have found that were unique and had special qualities that we liked. (Family owned with... read more lots of history). Matthew's knowledge of the area and history was great, we learnt so much from start to finish. We highly recommend Small Batch Wine Tours to anyone wanting an experience that you will totally enjoy and really remember.
